Prague's Christmas Markets 2012

Prague’s Christmas market is celebrated at Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, in the heart of the Old Town and it is the highlight of Prague’s holiday festive.


Prague’s Christmas market at the Old Town Square starts on November 26th and ends on January 1st 2013 from 9:00 to 19:00, during weekends from 9:00 to 20:00, the market features more than 100 traditionally decorated booths, and the fair is a great place to buy Czech wood carvings, traditional toys and glass and Czech food specialties. Christmas markets this year is in the sign of Czech kings. It is charming Christmas atmosphere at the square with up to 80 000 lights.

Christmas markets in Prague are mainly in the Old Town Square, where is located the main tree, and Wenceslas Square. Level of Prague's Christmas markets by foreign guidebooks is comparable to Christmas markets in Berlin, Brussels, Munich and Stockholm. There is also singing carols, especially children's groups.

Special Events: In addition to decorations, visitors can also enjoy a traditional Christmas atmosphere and a really rich cultural program. During these markets there will be around 3500 artists at the Old Town Square.
